(AP) ? Rick Santorum says Republicans won't win the presidency by nominating a candidate who jokes about firing people.

Santorum was talking about rival Mitt Romney, who joked earlier this week about his father, the former chairman of American Motors, closing a factory in Michigan and moving production to Wisconsin.

Santorum suggested Friday that the quip is more evidence that Romney doesn't understand the struggles of working people. He says working people are the ones who will decide the outcome of the presidential election in November.

Santorum said Romney's only argument is that he has "the math" to win. Santorum says vision, not math, is the key to victory.

The former Pennsylvania senator was campaigning in Wisconsin for the state's primary next week.

Aeron Chair Media: The Signs And Symptoms And Reasons For The ...

You are here: Home / Physical Fitness / Aeron Chair Media: The Signs And Symptoms And Reasons For The Manifestation Of Musculoskeletal Problems

As the earth gets busier each day, and with how wobbly the economic climate can become, it?s no wonder that more people today go out of their way to work longer hours to generate money so they can have something to aid their expenditures. What?s sad about this though is that one of the greatest items that individuals tend to ignore if they become really preoccupied with their work is their own physical wellness .

Given that the majority of the work now is done by computers, body pains are surely something familiar to the modern day workforce. But just what leads to them and how can we tell that it?s manifesting? Please read on to know more info on it: There are various reasons why someone would develop musculoskeletal pains.

One prevalent explanation is due to the deterioration of muscles from day to day activities. That?s the reason people who do hard physical work for a job make a complaint about body aches most of the time. Continuous lifting of hefty items from the floor can definitely put plenty of tension on the back muscles. Next, trauma from mishaps can also be one other reason for its symptoms. They include things like cracks, sprains, drops, as well as dislocations.

A single of the most typical reasons though why people always get bone and joint aches and pains is also due to too much contact with one fixated position. Posture is important in terms of better health and fitness. As people commit more hours on a computer system, they take more time stressing their back muscles by sitting in one static situation for many hours every single working day. This is why even the most unsuspecting forms of work like office jobs can nonetheless be damaging to one?s health and fitness if overdone.

To begin uncovering muscular pains, needless to say, you have to be experiencing a specific irritation on your muscles. Additionally, if you notice that you get worn out easier and a lot quicker, it might also be an indicator that you?re just about to encounter musculoskeletal pains. Finally, if you have trouble sleeping during the night frequently. This is another reason to suspect that bone and joint discomfort are possible.

As I have discussed earlier, people who work in offices always have an enormous chance of suffering from this since they commit a great deal of time with their back curved and sitting in unpleasant positions. That?s the reason many physicians, and even people of the workforce, suggest using ergonomic furnishings instead of the common kinds since they do precisely that. One very good illustration of ergonomic furnishings is Herman Miller?s personal invention, the Aeron chair.

Aeron chairs might be pricy in the beginning, nonetheless it evens off for it with its good quality and its services. Think of it as a very good investment decision you may make awesome use of for a long time. Not only that, you are also purchasing a stylish accessory which could liven up any typical working space and transform it into a modern day powerhouse work centre.

Indeed, it is among the best office chairs on the market today. Many people who have used Aeron chairs before do not have anything but constructive comments about it. Use one now and find out how it will help you stay away from injuries in the workplace.

Buying an Aeron chair is certainly not pricey. If a brand new one end up being too high-priced for you, fret not. used Aeron chairs remain in excellent state. Have a look at this time!

The first typhoon of the northern hemisphere 2012 typhoon season is headed for landfall in Vietnam. NASA's Aqua and TRMM satellites have been providing forecasters with valuable data on Typhoon Pakhar, that includes rainfall rates, cloud extent and temperature.

The Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite flew almost directly over Pakhar when it was a newly formed tropical storm in the South China Sea on March 29, 2012 at 1122 UTC/4:22 p.m. Asia local time (or 7:22 a.m. EDT). The intensifying storm had wind speeds of about 45 knots (~52 mph/~83 kph) and was moving toward the west-northwest when viewed by this TRMM pass. A rainfall analysis used data from TRMM's Microwave Imager and Precipitation Radar (PR) instruments. It showed that moderate to heavy rainfall of about 35 mm/hr (~1.4 inches) was located in an area around Pakhar's southwestern side.

"TRMM's PR was used to create a 3-D image of Pakhar's structure and showed that some of the storms were reaching heights of about 13 kilometers (~8 miles) above the ocean surface," Hal Pierce of the TRMM satellite team at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. where the images were created.

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument on NASA's Terra satellite captured a true-color image of Typhoon Pakhar on March 30, 2012 at 03:20 UTC/10:20 a.m. Asia local time (March 29 at 11:20 p.m. EDT) moving through the South China Sea toward Vietnam. Bands of thunderstorms are tightly wrapped around the center of Pakhar's center, and there may be an eye forming, but it is covered by dense overcast in MODIS visible imagery.

On March 30 at 0900 UTC (5 a.m. EDT) Pakhar's maximum sustained winds were at Typhoon strength, near 65 knots (~75 mph/120.4 kph). Pakhar is expected to intensify to 80 knots (90 mph/148 kph). Tropical-storm-force winds are occurring about 90 nautical miles (166.7 km) out from the center. Pakhar was located near 9.7 North and 111.0 East, about 260 nautical miles (481.5 km) east-southeast of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Pakhar continues to move slowly at 3 knots (3.4 mph/5.5 kph), which will allow more time for the typhoon to build up strength in the warm waters of the South China Sea.

As Pakhar continues to intensify while moving slowly west towards Vietnam, forecasters at the Joint Typhoon Warning Center expect the storm to peak near 80 knots (90 mph/148 kph) before landfall. Landfall is forecast to occur near Phan Thiet, Vietnam around 1 a.m. Asia/Ho Chi Minh local time on Sunday, April 1 (1800 UTC / 2 p.m. EDT on Saturday, March 31).

Conditions continue to deteriorate in Vietnam as Pakhar moves toward the coast. On March 30, 2012 at 10:26 a.m. EDT (1426 UTC), Phan Theit, Vietnam was experiencing light rain and light easterly winds of 4 mph (6.4 kph).

Typhoon-force winds, heavy rainfall, and very rough coastal conditions are expected as Pakhar nears the coast later today, Saturday and Sunday. After landfall, Pakhar is forecast to move inland and dissipate quickly.

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? The nation's two actors unions have merged, nearly a decade after their last attempt, bringing an end to years of conflict that had given Hollywood studios the advantage in labor negotiations.

The American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, the smaller of the two, had tried to merge with the Screen Actors Guild in 1998 and 2003.

Among AFTRA members, 86 percent approved the merger, while 82 percent of SAG members voted in favor.

"In a single day, our future has become brighter," said Ken Howard. The merger made him co-president of the new union, called SAG-AFTRA.

Roberta Reardon, the other co-president, echoed those remarks. "Finally, we are able to speak with one truly unified voice."

The decision to negotiate the prime-time TV and movie contracts separately in 2008 and 2009 caused a rift that allowed the studios to play the unions off each other. That strategic mistake led SAG members to bring in new leaders, who made merging a top priority.

Reardon, who led AFTRA to sign its contract a year earlier than SAG in that round of talks, said Friday's outcome was the best possible from a difficult time.

"We managed to make lemonade out of lemons," she said.

The combined union now has more than 150,000 members. SAG had about 125,000, while AFTRA had about 70,000. About 45,000 actors belonged to both unions and paid dues to both.

In materials supporting the merger, the unions said basic dues would go down for dual card-holders by 20 percent, while they would rise for actors who belonged to just one of the unions.

The combined union aims to keep revenue about $100 million the first year but expects to see savings in subsequent years.

SAG, founded in 1933, and AFTRA, begun in 1952, were created to handle different media. SAG was the union for motion picture work, while AFTRA handled radio and TV. Those distinctions eventually blurred and they became even less important with the rise of cable TV and then the Internet.

Together, the unions can negotiate with Hollywood studios from a position of greater strength. One area of focus is shows that air on pay-TV networks, which are employing increasing numbers of actors in scripted projects, such as "Mad Men" on AMC.

A handful of networks continue to hire non-union talent, including ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Sports and Discovery, and the unions are looking to organize those performers.

The unions expect to exercise their joint heft in negotiations on a commercials contract that expires in October. The next prime-time TV and movie contract is up in 2014.

The merger also makes the unions financially stronger. SAG-AFTRA aims to build a reserve fund to enable members to strike for six months if necessary.

The studios' bargaining arm, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which exploited the groups' rift several years ago, acknowledged the merger in a statement.

"The AMPTP looks forward to a cooperative relationship with the new performers' organization as we endeavor to address the challenges of operating in an industry undergoing transformation," it said.

What Does Attachment Parenting Look Like? | Natural Family Today

There?s a lot of talk in the news media about Attachment Parenting lately, especially with celebrity-turned-PhD Mayim Bialik?s new book, Beyond the Sling, in which she describes her brand of parenting, which does include Attachment Parenting (AP). And there are a lot of questions being asked. As a local Resource Leader for Attachment Parenting International, I?ve been fielding both concern and applause for the various conversations swirling around Mayim and AP. I wanted to give a little clarification.

First of all, what is Attachment Parenting exactly? Technically, it?s a research-backed approach to parenting that promotes securely attached kids. What?s that mean? ?Attachment? is a term to describe the emotional bond between two people. A person with a secure attachment style is able to establish and maintain a healthy emotional bond with other people. A kid who is securely attached to his parent means that the kid and parent share a healthy emotional bond ? with all the give and take of any emotionally healthy relationship. People with secure attachment styles are less affected by stress and generally happier in relationships than those with insecure attachment styles.

Research shows that parents who raise children with secure attachment in mind do two things: They provide consistent and loving care, and they respond with sensitivity. This can look different for different people. For parents who are living the natural lifestsyle, this often takes the form of natural birth, breastfeeding and baby-led weaning, babywearing, cosleeping, stay-at-home parenting and gentle discipline. Of course, there are plenty of parents who do these parenting techniques who are not necessarily living a natural lifestyle, but there are also plenty of parents who bottle-feed and crib-sleep and work outside the home who are still raising their children with attachment-promoting strategies.

There are other parenting practices that are often considered part of AP, such as elimination communication, cloth diapering, not vaccinating, and homebirthing. This are wonderful options available to parents, but in terms of attachment research, they are not part and parcel with AP ? with the consistent and loving care and the responding with sensitivity that is documented by research to contribute directly to developing those emotionally healthy bonds that we?re striving to do. That?s not to say that parents who choose cloth diapering are not doing something really great for their kids; it?s saying that parents who choose to use disposable diapers can still be doing AP.

And this is awesome news ? that anyone can be AP ? because the more people raised to be able to have be able to have an emotionally healthy relationship, the better our world will be.

Dell calls it quits in US smartphone market

Dell is getting out of the smartphone business in the United States -- wait, you mean you didn't know they were in it?

Let's put it this way: Dell entered the U.S. smartphone market quite late with the Aero (at left), launched in summer of 2010. Now, the company is getting out early, before spending more time and money on their poor-selling Android- and Windows-based devices. Dell's latest models, the Venue Pro (Windows) and Venue (Android) will not be sold any longer in the U.S. They will continue to be sold overseas.

"Mobility products typically have shorter lifecycles than laptops and desktops, and we have decided to no longer offer those two on Dell.com in the United States," said a Dell spokesperson in a statement to msnbc.com.

Jack Gold, principal analyst at J. Gold Associates, told?PCWorld?that Dell's move is probably a good one, and that it may allow the company to better focus on other products, such as tablets that use Windows 8, expected out this fall.

Android phones from Samsung, HTC and Motorola have done very well, and a Nielsen report Thursday says that?49.7 percent of U.S. mobile subscribers owned smartphones as of February, up from 36 percent a year ago.?Android-based phones lead the U.S. smartphone market with a 48 percent share, while Apple's iPhone is at 32 percent, and BlackBerry is at 11.6 percent.

Dell's smartphone appeal has not been domestic. The Texas-based company began selling phones first in countries like Brazil and China before the U.S.?

In the U.S. the company's 5-inch Streak smartphone and tablet did get some positive feedback, and Samsung has gone a similar size route with its Galaxy Note.

Dell's larger Streak tablet hasn't been on a selling streak -- especially compared to other offerings from Apple, Samsung and Amazon.com's Kindle Fire -- but with touch-oriented Windows 8, Dell may be able to better compete in the U.S. tablet market.

The company's decision doesn't preclude it from trying at smartphones again domestically.?"We're looking forward to offering new products and concentrating on expanding our growing mobility solutions portfolio in the future," Dell said in its statement.
